Richard R. Tomlinson, DDS
Dr. Richard Tomlinson has been practicing dentistry in Tahoe City for over 30 years. He grew up in Arlington, Virginia and received his bachelor's degree from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. After dental school at Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia, he started his dental career with the U.S. Public Health Service assigned to the U.S. Coast Guard in Alameda, California and Ketchikan, Alaska. He and his wife, Sandy, relocated to Tahoe City in 1977. Their three children, Lindsey, Andrew, and Taylor were all born at Tahoe Forest Hospital and graduated from North Tahoe High School.
Dr. Tomlinson is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, DENTS Study Club, and the Sierra Study Club for Dental Excellence. He was on the Dental Staff of Tahoe Forest Hospital for 30 years while supporting his community with the North Tahoe Kiwanis Club, and coaching the North Tahoe High School golf team for 10 years. He has been a season pass holder at Squaw Valley USA for 36 years and also enjoys Nordic skiing at the Tahoe Cross Country ski area. He has traveled the world with Sandy, their children, and many friends which enables him to pursue his photography hobby.
